Download Avast! 4 Free here and save it to your desktop.

• Double-click on setupeng.exe to begin the installation.
  
• As suggested, please close all other open windows during the installation and click Next.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• System requirements shall be presented. Click on Next if they match to continue.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• License agreement will be shown.
  
• Please read it, and if you agree, check the box next to I agree and click Next to continue.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be asked the path to install Avast! to. By default, it shall be C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4
  
• Once chosen, click on Next to continue.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be prompted about the type of installation you wish to proceed with.
  
• Typical is recommended. Once chosen, click on Next.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Installation recap will be presented. If there's any changes you wish to do at this point, click Back and do any changes necessary.
  
• Click on Next to continue.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Installation will begin. Let it finish. It will only take a moment.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be prompted about a boot-time antivirus scan. It is recommended.
  
• Click on YES.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be prompted once the installation has finished.
  
• You can either restart now, or later on. Check the box next to Restart and click Finish.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Once finished, welcome screen will be presented.
  
• Follow the link to the registration page to get a free registration key.
  
• Click on OK.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Avast! has now been completely been installed on your system and is on watch!
  
• To update Avast! after installation, right-click on the systray icon, highlight Updating and click iAVS Update.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Updates will be downloaded and installed.
