Download AVG 7.5 Free for Windows here and save it to your desktop.

• Double-click on avg75free_xxxxx.exe (x letters standing for version number) to begin the installation.
  
• Click Next on the following screen to begin the installation.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be asked to read and accept the license agreement. Please do so.
  
• Hit Accept to continue the installation.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be asked to choose the installation type. Standard Installation recommended.
  
• Check the box next to the one you wish to choose and click Next.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Enter your Windows username (profile name) and leave the predefined license number.
  
• Click Next.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• On the next screen, unless there is anything you want to change from the earlier steps, click on Finish to install AVG.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• The installation begins. Let it finish.
  
• Once finished, click OK.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Now that the installation has finished, you will be prompted about setup.
  
• Click Next to continue.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be asked to update AVG. Please click on Check for Updates.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• If you do not wish to get the prompt about the update source next time, check the box next to the option.
  
• Click on Internet to be able to update AVG successfully at any time.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Any and all updates found will be presented. Click on them to highlight, then click Update.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Click on OK when the update process has finished.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will be asked about daily scanning. Low priority is recommended, as the high priority scan takes more system memory.
  
• If you are completely certain that you do not need scheduled daily scanning, you can uncheck the box (not recommended).
  
• Once chosen, click on Next.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You shall be asked about scanning your system. Click on Scan Computer! to start the scan.
  
• If you wish to skip the scan, click Next instead.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• The scan will begin and takes a while. Let it finish.
  
• Once finished, results will be presented with details. Click Close.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• You will prompted about AVG registration. If you do not wish to register and have the full support forum access, you can skip this by clicking Next.
  
• However, if you wish to register AVG Free and have the access in their support forums, click on Register AVG Free.
  
• Browser window will open with further information - fill in the form and you are done.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• AVG has now been completely been installed on your system and is on watch!
