Having some problems that I haven't been able to fix. First noted that I could not click on search results from yahoo to get where I wanted to go. It goes to some other website. I can enter the website direct into the address bar to get to the site that I want. I can also use Google without a problem. Also, in trying to download some of the preferred anti-spyware, (spybot S&D, etc) I cannot access the website whether I try from google or entering the website direct to the address bar (I get an Internet Explorer cannot access this website message). I was able to attempt a download from CNet, but just before installing, it notes that a server issue cannot be resolved and it keeps me from downloading).

Attached is my Hijack this log. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi pmmwh...

You have caught me just off to work!..will take a closer look later when I get home..
Try this in the meantime:

Run HijackThis
Click on do a system scan only
Place a check next to these lines(if still present)

O16 - DPF: {D30CA0FD-1CA0-11D4-AC78-006008A9A8BC} (WebBasedClientInstall Class) - file://\\websql3\VPHOME\CLT-INST\WEBINST\webinst.cab
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{1AA67F0E-890E-4722-887B-D96F00EA5B41}: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{BD21A35D-410C-445D-8CDC-301D6B859268}: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142
O17 - HKLM\System\CS3\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142
O17 - HKLM\System\CS4\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.112.128,85.255.112.142

Then close all windows and browsers except HijackThis and click Fix Checked

Then see if you can get this:
Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix

* Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply for further review.

If you can't, do you have access to another pc??
If so you can download the tools and transfer them to the infected pc via usb drive or cd?
Is this a company computer?.. (I ask because I noticed VNC installed etc)?

Back later
Thanks

Fred
