Ignoring threads

It doesn't seem this is possible in the current version, but I would like to see an "ignore thread" option that either marks new messages in that thread as read, deletes them, or moves them to a separate folder (as selected by the user). I'm subscribed to a few mailing lists where many threads I don't need to read go on for some length, and it would be nice to have them automatically taken off my "must read" list in some way.

If this is already possible, please tell me how to do it--without setting up filter after filter for every subject that must be ignored. Thanks.

In the latest PC Gamer magazine they were saying that guys are fitting dual 8800GT cards for greater speed.
I am wondering about the airflow to the back card and if it would be sufficient.
What does anyone else think of this arrangement?

THat motherboard they are using looks like mine, or a very similar one - eVGA / XFX 780 / 790 series.

As for getting air to the cards, it should not be too much trouble if either of hte following holds true:

You have a vent / fan /combo in hte side door above the cards
You have unrestricted airflow from the front of the case directly to those cards.

In my system, I happen to have both, due to my case, and I am only running a single card....

  • CPU: Core 2 Quad 6600 G0 CPU @3.375 GHz
  • Heatsink: Tuniq Tower 120 LFB Cooler
  • Motherboard: eVGA 780i Motherboard
  • PSU: OCZ ModXStream 780W SLI Ready PSU
  • Graphics Card: eVGA 8800 GTS 512 KO edition GA
  • RAM: 2 X 2GB OCZ PC2-8000 ReaperX HPC RAM @ 500 MHz (1000 MHz Dual)
  • HDs: 2 X Seagate 500 GB 7200.10 RPM 32MB Cache HDs
  • 1 X WD 250 GB 7200 RPM 8 MB Cache HD
  • Optical: SONY DRU-830A Dual Layer IDE DVD burner
  • Extra: Hauppage WinTV 1800 HVR TV Tuner card with Remote
  • Case: ThermalTake Armour case

To see pics of my system, using the following hardware, see http://picasaweb.goo...nlgalt/TheBeast

Having a really big case allows the use of really big fans and that helps on the side door, in getting cooler exdternal air directly over the components that run the hottest - the video cards.

That is one huge machine. Should be able to launch a strike from SAC with that.
As I said, makes my steam driven clunker look ancient.
Thanks for your answer.

Hahahahah. I'll do it. But I have to say something here that covers all computer forum protocols.
Although it is now accepted practice throughout the forum world to spell correctly, it has always been an unwritten rule that no one ever draws attention to someone mis spelling a word. It just isn't done.
The reason for this is because it is totally unnecessary and can only cause embarrassment.
The other reason is that if it is done, the party who misspelled a word can consider the correction a deliberate attempt to embarrass them and is in itself a form of flaming.
Someone with their name in lights should know that.
