Hi jasper has recommended i start a log on this, the file pops up as a java update when you start up you're computer,
however many sites are saying its a trojan eating you're memory and which my memory does seem considerably higher than it should be.
After following instructions to find and delete it, after a process
it should be located in system 32>dllcache>
but dllcache doesnt seem to exist,

java was uninstalled and the jucheck.exe hasn't popped up since.

It's pretty mysterious,
does anybody know about it?

Many thanks

steve.

Hi MMASteve... :welcome:

Normal location for jucheck.exe is : C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_06\bin..(The version number shown jre1.6.0_06 is an old version shown on my system which has only just been reinstalled from a recovery disc)..

If you've uninstalled Java, just go to Program Files folder and delete the Java folder if it's still there,

Then, go HERE to install MBAM just follow the guide, run the scan and post the log back here please..

This is Goggy's daddy then eh???

It was likely just a orphan registry key left over from a bad Java uninstall.
It gets left behind and when you start the computer it looks for Java, can't find the file the key is pointing to and sends an error message. Usually gets sorted out with a reboot..

You might want to run MBAM to be sure?.. if so, please post the log.

Thanks
Fred
