Filtering messages with IMAP account

I am new to using filters with Becky! and I read in help file that filters don't work automatically for IMAP, but I cannot find any manual way to activate them. The Help file indicates to use the 'sort messages' command, but my filter is to forward, not sort. Please advise. Thanks, much,

sorry, i dont use imap any longer.
"manually" means you have to trigger it with the "Sort to folder" button.
that includes sorting and filtering rules.
