Hi
We saw that charset auto detection intermittently fails to detect character set correctly, if HTML mail contains numeric character reference and normal QP-encoded content.
Environment
Becky! 2.56.01 [ja] + IE6 on Widows XP (IE component is used to display HTML mail)
MIME structure
(I eliminated the unnecessary part)
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8
<html>
<body dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-s=
ize:10pt">
<p><strong>Name:</strong> これはテス=
;トです。</p>
<p><strong>Description:</strong> =C2=A0=E3=81=93=E3=82=8C=E3=81=
=AF=E3=83=86=E3=82=B9=E3=83=88=E3=81=A7=E3=81=99=E3=80=82</p>
</body>
</html>
Mixed encoding (numeric character reference like こ& and QP encoding) are problematic but charset is clearly declared as UTF-8 and numeric character reference does not need to be encoded by quoted printable and also this could be IE problem since character set auto detection could depend upon IE component.
Is this Becky! problem?
