UK Yuletide Woes: Queen Elizabeth II Cancels Buckingham Palace Christmas Festivities

Quote

Posted By Vicki McClure Davidson on October 14, 2010

The dismal economic hardships that Americans are suffering and struggling through here in the United States are also walloping the United Kingdom.

Queen Elizabeth II announced yesterday that, to save money and to be in alliance with the countless British citizens who are struggling financially, her customarily lavish Buckingham Palace Christmas party, held every two years, has been cancelled.

Palace employees are stunned.

Happy Christmas.
