Get the Selected Text from the Message View Window

Does anyone know how to get the highlighted (selected ) text from the Message View Window, if it is even possible?

I am trying to develop a small tool that will search through a text file for the selected text (meant to use as a trivial dictionary, nothing much), but for that I want to get the Selected text. Tried with the Win32 Edit box and ListView macros, but no breakthrough upto now. Any input is greatly appreciated.
