Problem emptying Trash with v.24.7E The "Empty Trash" command doesn't work

Hi, I'm a newbie so apologies in advance for any missteps.

I've been using Becky! for many years without problems, but have recently discovered that "Empty Trash" command won't work with V.24.7E, which I'm using on the Japanese version of Vista Home Premium SP1. I had the same problem with V.24.6E but not with previous installations of both the English and Japanese versions of Becky!.

I've tried Reorganizing the folder and Reconstructing the index, but the only way I can empty the Trash is by deleting the files. I then find that if I use the "Empty Trash" command, loads of previously deleted files reappear in the Trash box. The same happens if I Reorganize.

I completely uninstalled, then reinstalled V.24.6E -- with the same results. Upgrading to V.24.7E made no difference.

Can anyone help?

This query didn't elicit any responses :(, but in the end I managed to solve it anyway :) .

Using Explorer I opened the !Trash folder in my mail sub-folder, saved its contents elsewhere just in case, then deleted everything in the folder. There must have been something corrupt in there, but I'm delighted to say it seems to have worked and the Empty Trash function now works beautifully.

I hope this proves helpful to someone else with similar problems in the future...
