Inbox Message Grouping Inbox Message Grouping

I have been using Becky a long time (12 year and counting). It is a great email client!!

There is one feature I have seen in other email clients (Outlook and Thunderbird) that I can't seem to find/figure out how to do in Becky.

I would like to be able to group messages in the InBox by either date or sender.
Basically a thread grouping by date or sender.

I searched this forum the last couple of days, figuring there must be a way to do this,
but I could not find anything. I also looked through the plugins, but none of them seemed to solve the problem either.

I was hoping View Related would do it, but no such luck.

Is there a way to do this? Or is it a feature request?

BTW, I know I can sort the InBox by date or sender, but that still leaves me scrolling through a large number of messages. Grouping basically reduces the amount of scrolling I have to do in the InBox. It also give me a quick way to search messages from a particular sender without having to do a find.

create a filter which sorts mails into subfolders of inbox.
but that is not really acceptable thus prevents further sort into other folders
so filter it into final destination instead.

That is basically what I do now for messages I know I want to keep.
And if I could resort messages from a folder other than the Inbox, creating
filters by user would kind of work, but does not take care of the date
problem as the filter would be unique to a given day which is not what I want.

Again, just like threads make it easy to follow an email chain without having to
filter all the messages to a folder, grouping allows the same convience for
dates and senders.
