Now that you have installed a-squared Anti-Malware Free, you're ready to run it for the first time.

• Double Click on the a-squared Free icon on your Desktop to open the main GUI window.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Click on the Scan now button.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Select your preferred scan method in this case I will Select Deep Scan.
  
• And now Click the scan button.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Now wait till the scan completes. Deep scan can take some time.
  
  
  
  
  
• Here we see that the scan has completed.
  
• Put a Check in the Box beside the infected item and Click on the Quarantine selected objects button.
  
• Note: It is best if you Quarantine selected objects instead of Delete selected objects just in case they could be false positives and they can be Restored if necessary.
  
• Congratulations you have now completed the a-squared Free scan.You may now close the main GUI window.
