Evolving Malware threat (win32.rbot?) [INACTIVE]

Hello. I've been battling some pretty vicious malware the last few days, and would love to get the advice of someone more knowledgable than myself. Mostly, I have been running MBAM and SAS against the threat.
They scored some initial successes (stopping some really annoying google redirects), but haven't found anything in the last two days. Meanwhile, the malware has started to do new things. It just deleted my wallpaper,
and attempted to reset my homepage. Yesterday it started posting what's probably supposed to be an ad, but is just a blank white rectangle in the lower right corner of my screen. Given the changing nature of the problem, I'm hoping someone can help me out before it begins to do worse things. I'm posting below my most recent HJT scan. I should also mention that on its last run, spybot detected Win32.rbot, but failed to remove it. If that is the main problem, how should I go about tackling it? Thank you.

Hi niterida0, welcome to Log'N'Rock..

I see Viewpoint installed..
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article.

I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present:

  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player

Reboot when done..

Then:
Run HijackThis
Click on do a system scan only
Place a check next to these lines(if still present)

Then close all windows and browsers except HijackThis and click Fix Checked

Next:
Upload a File to Jotti
Please visit http://virusscan.jotti.org/
Click on Browse... and navigate to the following file: C:\Program Files\SAS\gerat.exe
Click Open(Please be patient as sometimes the server is busy and it can take a while).
Please let me know what the result is..

Finally:
Run MBAM again and post the log..(Make sure you update the definitions first), along with a fresh HJT log please.

Regarding the Win32.rbot you mentioned, do you have any logs / references to it??
Also, check out This Link and let me know if you recognise any of the error messages / symptoms shown there.
You will note that this type of trojan is a "Backdoor" type which can allow remote access to your PC so any further info you can supply would be good!
